nibbly 2.6: a handbook right beside you
Released on 28 October 2026, nibbly 2.6.0 brings an editorial handbook into the CMS. It takes you from the first sign-in to backups and security, with familiar comparisons for people who have used WordPress.
From editing to restoring
The chapters cover edit mode, saving and undo, text, links, images, pages and menus, news, events and people. Messages, icons, AI, settings, users and backups are included too. Screenshots and small interface examples make it easier to locate each control.
Adapted to your installation
Find the handbook beside the site name in the dashboard or beside Dashboard in the website’s admin bar. The internal guide follows the admin language and is available in English and German. Chapters for disabled modules and administrator-only areas are hidden as appropriate. A project can add its own chapters and contact line; an administrator can switch the guide off under Settings → Modules.
Pop for new sites, finer control over icons
New installations start with the Pop theme, Atkinson Hyperlegible and rounded buttons. Existing sites retain their saved appearance. The Icon Manager now offers line or solid style and both global and individual stroke widths, helping icons from different collections look consistent.
Now available here too
The public handbook on nibbly.dev needs no sign-in and sits between Docs and Showcase. It presents all chapters and includes additions for 2.7. Your installation’s internal guide still follows its own modules and permissions. The 2.6 release notes also cover editor-account fixes and completed dashboard translations.
