A calmer place to write: nibbly’s new editorial workflow
A lot has changed since our last major website update. Releases 2.4 through 2.5.1 focus on everyday editing: writing content, reviewing translations and managing people and events. The foundation remains PHP and JSON files, with no database.
More room for the words
Pages, news and biographies offer visual editing and an HTML view. The code view includes syntax highlighting, line numbers, indentation and a toolbar for links, lists and formatting. Settings sit alongside the content and additional fields can be collapsed. View opens a new tab and asks what to do with unsaved changes first.
One way to switch languages
Pages, news, events and people share a consistent language selector. Create missing versions as copies and optionally translate them when AI is configured. New news translations start as drafts. Language filters and status links with counts make larger lists easier to review.
People, events and navigation
The People module keeps team members, speakers and contacts in one place. Person and Team blocks reuse those profiles across pages, while published profiles and events get their own detail pages. Menus & Footer provides a dedicated place to maintain navigation. News and people now have a trash view for restoring accidentally removed entries.
More control over media and AI
Large image uploads receive a web version while the original stays available. The image service can be selected independently of the chat provider. Since 2.5.1, settings have their own sidebar with search, shortening the route to frequently used controls.
